Makarand Karanjikar is the Senior Vice President of Supply Deployment, North America, Global Supply Chain of Schneider Electric; the global specialist in energy management with 140,000 employees, revenue of 30 Billion US$, and operations in more than 100 countries.

Based at Nashville, TN in this role since Aug 2020; he is responsible to lead NAM long term industrial strategy to transform NAM SC to deliver superior CX and be a strategic advantage for business with more agility, resilience, simplification & productivity through modernization of manufacturing setup.

Until July 2017 he led Supply Chain & Quality for Home & Distribution Division, Energy Management BU from 2017 to 2020. In this role he was responsible to drive alignment between Home and Distribution Division strategy and Global Supply Chain strategy to facilitate business growth; and also, was in charge of driving industrialization, procurement and brand labelling for all new offers for H&D division.

Before moving to H&D Div in 2017 he led the electronics manufacturing plants located in North America region, with strong focus on driving customer satisfaction & efficiency through simplification and tailored supply chain.

Earlier in his career, Makarand has led long term industrial strategy, projects and manufacturing engineering for Schneider Electric China based out of Shanghai, China.

Makarand started his career with Schneider Electric India in 2000 and has lead Purchasing, Projects & Plant Management earlier at different locations in India.

Before joining Schneider Electric, Makarand has worked for Larsen & Toubro, Bosch Group and Crompton Greaves in India in various roles.

Makarand has a diploma in mechanical engineering, an advanced diploma in tool engineering and post graduate diploma in management.
